16 days deep in the Karakoram with Lachie and a small crew of 10

Trek beneath some of the biggest mountains on Earth, spend a night at K2 Base Camp, cross glaciers, learn real mountain skills and finish by crossing the 5,585m Gondogoro La with a mad crew

There are mountains.

And then there’s K2

Hidden deep inside Pakistan’s Karakoram, K2 rises 8,611 metres above one of the wildest mountain landscapes on Earth.

Getting there means trekking through valleys, glaciers and high-altitude terrain for days before eventually arriving beneath the second-highest mountain in the world.

It’s remote.

It’s massive.

And it’s the kind of place very few people will ever experience for themselves.

For 16 days in June 2027, we’re going there.

Not to stand on a viewpoint for ten minutes. To actually live in the mountains.

Instead of joining a huge organised tour with a random group of people, you’ll be travelling with a small crew of young adventurers hosted by Lachie Porter.

The serious stuff — permits, logistics, food, transport, porters and local mountain support — is handled.

That leaves us to actually enjoy being there.

We’ll trek through the Karakoram, learn glacier and crampon skills, cross high-altitude terrain, camp in some ridiculous locations, take photos, make content and spend 16 days doing something genuinely unforgettable.

Expect hard days.

Expect cold mornings.

Expect a lot of laughs.

And expect to come home with some very good stories.

This trip is built differently.

Sixteen days you’re not forgetting.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

This is a real high-altitude trek.

You’ll be hiking repeatedly over multiple days, sleeping at altitude and travelling through remote mountain environments.

You should already be active and comfortable hiking before joining.

Overnight hiking experience is extremely helpful, although previous major expedition or mountaineering experience is not required.

You do not need to arrive knowing how to use crampons or having extensive glacier experience.

The local mountain team will support the group, and relevant mountain skills will be introduced and taught during the trip.

Porters handle the heavy loads, so you won’t be carrying a huge expedition pack for the entire route.
